Kelly Fearing, well known painter and a part of the Fort Worth Circle of artists in the 1940s, created a series of etchings in the 1990s and 2000s using a new process known as "Solar Plate" or polymer gravure.  He reinterpretation of drawings and frottage using this methods produced some of his finest etchings.  "Spiritual Transformation:  Between Man and Fish" is based on a charcoal drawing but was printed with a warm black ink on Somerset soft white paper.
